So today is the last time for the blog entry. I finished my project which makes me feel a lot better. I found this one a bit easier than the first project. The most difficult part for me was to write the check-expects for the sharpen-r. It took me a while to understand that it meant multiple the red intensity by 7 then if the original number was below 128 add 0 if not add 255, then divide the number by 8. But after the TA helped me with that I found it much easier. The class overall was very interesting and i learned a lot. The Professor is very good at explaining things and very excellent at answering questions. It was a great class:)

So I did not so well on the test last week. Some of it was my fault because I did not write down the number charts on my cheat sheet so i was unable to answer some of the questions on adding and multiplying. I also had some trouble with question 4 involving the shapes and for question five I did not know what the purpose of rs was. I am not looking forward to the final. I am going to make sure that I don't leave anything off my cheat sheet.

So I successfully finished the project and submitted it on time! When I first started to work on the project I had no idea what to do. I spend hours trying various things and nothing seemed to work. So I went and saw Danny on Friday and he made everything clear. I started completely fresh and finished both of the projects in two hours! He told me to just start with one problem and  fix it, then see if it passed. That was a lot easier than trying to fix all the problems at once. I hope I got a good mark on the project!

So I got my test back and I passed which was good. I still need to work on a lot of things before our next test. Class the other day I found quite confusing and the project is starting to freak me out. Like I don't even know what to do. I'm going to see the professor before next week and talk about it to clear things up. I hope class tomorrow goes well and I understand the concepts that he is teaching.

So the test on Thursday was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I could actually do most of it so I am hoping I passed with an okay mark. The hardest question I think was the one with the paper, I honestly didn't know the answer and had to guess. The last few questions I think I did correctly and was proud of myself for understanding the commands. Anyways I can't wait till I get my test back so I can look over the ones I did wrong and work on understanding them better.

To be honest I took this class so that I could get my science credit because I am not a science student and would totally fail bio. But after the first class I found it quite interesting and it made me think I could become Penelope from Criminal Minds. That would be amazing! Anyways so the first few classes were understandable, like the folding of the paper I got that. But then it started to get a bit confusing with Dr. Racket. I understood most of it but I was confused with the whole (string-length "scatter") thing which I later found out was seven because it counts the number of words. The quiz was a lot easier than I thought, it was only the first question I was unable to answer, which I am going to talk to Professor Heap about on Friday to make sure I'm understanding everything. Despite the blizzard outside and being cold the entire class, because seriously I think the vents are blowing cold air, I enjoyed the class. The whole understanding the problem with the paper folds was good and I understood and found the pattern which makes me happy. I hope he continues to explain the hand out he gave in class called "Making your own definitions" so that I can understand it better.
